New Brand. Unified Products. Better Features.

May 21st, 2013 by ryan w

Today we’re excited to announce some important updates to Burstly.com! In an effort to help distinguish the different products in our toolset, today we’ve announced a corporate re-branding. Burstly.com will now be the parent company for all of our products, and the monetization tools formerly known as Burstly are re-branding to SkyRocket.

     •  TestFlight – leading app beta-testing platform
     •  FlightPath – intuitive analytics solution for mobile app developers
     •  SkyRocket – app monetization solution to work with any ad partner

While previously accounts for our monetization tools were by approval only, we’ve also opened up Skyrocket today for everyone to use. Want to use the same tools that some of the largest app developers are using? Go to SkyRocketapp.com to get started.

How does this help existing customers?
You can continue to use each product individually, or use them together to take advantage of even more powerful features. For instance, target any campaign from SkyRocket to any FlightPath segment. Don’t use FlightPath? No problem. SkyRocket allows you to upload segments directly if you already have them.

Our goal by aligning the products under Burstly is to make it clear that even though we are specialized teams working on different products, every single one of us is obsessed with the entire mobile app lifecycle. We’re excited to keep building tools to empower mobile developers.

Burstly Feature Roundup – 3/6/13

We’re excited to announce the release of some great new features and improvements. We’re hard at work on lots of other updates, so if there’s anything you’d like to see please drop us a line and let us know!

NEW FEATURES:

Beyond the Wall! We have been working hard to expand our Rewards placement offerings by adding all new 3rd Party Custom Image Placements and 3rd Party Interstitials. These two new options enable you to show offers to your customers at any point in your app, rather than only when they select the offer wall.

• New Notification-Style Interstitials – these units allow you to customize text-based ads through an iOS-style alert and allow for multiple actions. This is a great way to message your customers at any point within your app.

• We have also just added an Interstitial Transparency Option – you can now remove the black background to generate a custom placement that hovers over your app.

NOTABLE IMPROVEMENTS:

• To speed up the Rewards set up process, we have created an Automated Entry Point creation option that makes it easy to complete a full Offer setup on a single form.

• New section in our App Setup Guide – Currency Manager Integration guide for our Rewards product

In-App Download is now a destination type for Display Ads, making it easier for you to drive users to up-sells and cross-promotions

Improvement to Rewards Reporting – An Hourly Entry Points option is now available for more detailed Rewards performance tracking. Additionally, we’ve updated our Zone Report to include offer conversions and expanded our Offer Daily Report to provide a more comprehensive look at the overall conversion funnel.

Burstly New Feature Roundup – 12/14/12

December 14th, 2012 by ryan w

Here at Burstly, we love challenges.  And a couple of challenging questions regularly come up for us:

• How do we make integrating the SDK more efficient?

• Can we improve tools for organizational collaboration?

Over the past month, we have been working hard to answer both – or at least begin to answer them.  To do so, we have rolled out a number of new features and improvements to help both developers and ad ops teams more effectively integrate and serve.   Below is a breakdown of the most recent release and some of the key items in it.

NEW FEATURES:

The Burstly Convenience Layer provides an quick integration library complete with tested and approved use cases for the majority of integrations

• Our new Integration Setup Guide provides an efficient SDK setup flow and supporting test mode complete with debug banners.

• We are releasing the first tool in our new Permissions Management suite, allowing Org level admins to invite and manage individual users within their account.

• We have built out Bulk Ad Assignment support on our Campaign page – high volume ad traffickers can now assign and unassign groups of ads to zones within an app.

• Admins for account will also now have the ability to select and manage their preferred Payment Methods for Burstly-managed revenue

• We’ve been improving our status list, offering a new Limit Hit status that helps clarify when ads paused due to Limits being reached vs manual selection.

IMPROVEMENTS / KEY FIXES:

• Improved Search Function in UI

• Support for iPad Mini targeting

• Reporting subscription improvements to add filter selections to the email body in which the report is delivered

• Additionally, we’ve adjusted those subscriptions to allow you to set future flight dates and receive updated reporting as the dates are fulfilled.

• To sync with the new Convenience Layer, we’ve adjusted the “Pub ID” / “Publisher ID” terminology on website to be “App ID”.  This change won’t effect existing integrations, but should help with consistency in the future.

Burstly New Feature Roundup – 11/10/12

The Burstly Blog is back! And we’re back with a lot to talk about – the Burstly crew has been very busy over the last few months. Since we have a number of new updates going live, we thought it was a good time to catch up you up on some of the new features we’ve been working on:

NEW FEATURES:

iOS 6.0 GM support – The Burstly SDK is up to date with Apple’s most recent GM.

MRAID 1.0 Support – This industry standard provides common calls that work with HTML5 and Javascript to synchronize the implementation process between Rich Media ad creators and Publishers. Burstly recently completed implementation which included a number of new features, including expand, collapse, and dismiss functions.

Interstitial Expiration Functionality – This new SDK function closes out remnant cached interstitials in app.

Video Player Skip button configuration – With this new function we give you the ability to set the delay timing of video ad Skip buttons.

• We’ve been improving our status list, offering a new Limit Hit status that helps clarify when ads paused due to Limits being reached vs manual selection.

REWARDS-SPECIFIC FEATURES:

Below are some feature improvements specific to our Rewards product over the past few months. These new tools help make incentivized mediation faster to set up and easier to monetize with.

Rewards Management – Burstly has been hard at work creating a comprehensive Rewards mediation management suite to help you setup, target, and manage mediated Offer Walls. With this tool you can also set up house and directly sold Rewards campaigns.

Offer Wall Improvements – Recently we’ve allowed you to expand the amount of mediated offers you can display in your wall. With new scrolling and a new “Tap To View More” option, Burstly allows your Game Players to access a wider range of Rewards.

Offerwall as Destination Type for Display Creatives – Looking to promote your incentivized wall? If so, we now provide you with the ability to give a Display Ad an Offer Wall destination for targeted wall exposure and broader User access.

Rewards Interstitial Support – Now you can serve Burstly Rewards in traditional Interstitial zones. This new entry point makes it easy to launch a house or directly sold offer in Burstly zones already set up in your app.
